Free box of Christmas chocolates - yum! Check out this box of festive yet classy looking Christmas chocolates from Hotel Chocolat . Personally I think this is a decent enough box of chocolates to be a nice Christmas gift in its own right (unlike the free Thorntons box from a couple of years ago, which was nice but more of a stocking filler). It's even got penguins in it, look :) So what's the catch? Well, you have to buy chocolate! But if this is for Christmas presents, it's along the lines of buying some nice chocolate Christmas gifts and getting an extra chocolate Christmas gift free - not bad at all. This is what Hotel Chocolat say about it: Spend £50 or more with Hotel Chocolat before the end of November and you'll be sent a gorgeous 'Taste of Christmas' chocolate box FREE as a thank you. Worth £12.50 this smart boxed collection contains solid chocolate penguins and baubles, gorgeous stars filled with nutty pralines and fruity centres, a milk chocolate vintage snowman tablet and caramel milk chocolate batons. Your free chocolates will be delivered with your order or separately if you are sending a gift.
Also, the £50 can be including postage. Some chocolate ideas to think about... |

Chocolate Reviews

Check out this beautiful but scary looking chocolate I got for my birthday yesterday! It comes from the Chocolate Alchemist (via my sister - thanks!), and it's very dark, it's got chillies covered in white chocolate in it and it's scattered with chilli seeds. A very classy looking but scary gift! The mobile phone camera really doesn't do it justice, it's a beautiful gift - I must get a new camera soon! I can totally see the logic to it too: Here's someone who likes chocolate, high cocoa chocolate is considered the gourmet version of chocolate, and high cocoa with chilli is exotic and Latin American and therefore the king of gourmet chocolate. As it turns out my mother loves chilli chocolate, so I was able to find it a better home there, but still have a chance to try some. So how was it? It was firm, but melty enough (technical terms there). I'd still say it's a bit too dark for me. But apart from that, 'interestingly warm'! It wasn't as hot as those hot sauces with cartoons on. But it was interestingly spicy - I think probably it would have made a very nice hot chocolate that was interesting in a good way. And above all, it was a very nicely presented, beautiful gift! Thanks, sis!
